Rulerships and Dignities in Astrology: Understanding the Influence of Planets in Signs

Regency is the name given to the affinity that exists between signs and planets.
This means that, from an astrological point of view, the stars are the ones who direct the energy and therefore make predictions possible.
Each sign is associated with a ruling star.
In the context of an astrological horoscope or natal chart, refers to the relative “strength” or “weakness” of a planet based on its zodiac sign and specific degree.
This strength or weakness is referred to as the planet’s essence.
In astrology, the essential dignity refers to the nature or significance of a planet in relation to a particular sign and its position in relation to that sign.
There are five traditional essential dignities:
Rulership: The sign that governs a planet is called its home, and it is believed that when the planet is at home, its influence is harmonious and fluid. It is then understood that its manifestations will be strong and timely. Usually and most often the daytime is considered.
Exaltation: Exaltation is when a planet exerts its greatest influence.
Detriment: This is the case with the signs of exile, which are usually the opposite of home. When the planet is in exile, its influence is seen as inharmonious and forced. It will manifest at the wrong time and its effects may be negative.
Fall: Fall is a position of weakness in terms of the planet's function.
Triplicity: Each sign of the same triplicity is 120 degrees apart, forming angles to one another called trines, two other ways triplicity could be organized were by rulership type and by season.
Actual seasons: The triplicities of seasonal elements in ancient astrology were the following:
Spring - Aries - Taurus - Gemini (March 21 and June 21)
Summer - Cancer - Leo - Virgo (June 22 and September 22)
Autumn - Libra - Scorpio - Sagittarius (September 23 and December 21)
Winter - Capricorn - Aquarius - Pisces (December 22 and March 20)
In the southern hemisphere, it is reversed.
Spring - Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius (September 23 and December 21)
Summer - Capricorn - Aquarius - Pisces (December 22 and March 20)
Autumn - Aries - Taurus - Gemini (March 21 and June 21)
Winter - Cancer - Leo - Virgo (June 22 and September 22)
Bounds: The bounds, or Egyptian terms, in Hellenistic Astrology are a subdivision of each of the 12 Zodiac Signs into five unequal parts, each one being sub-ruled by one of the 5 classical Planets (minus the luminaries).
Decans: or "faces" is the subdivision of a sign. Are the least important of the essential dignities, representing about one-fifteenth of a planet's overall strength in medieval astrology.
The regencies can be diurnal or night / conscious and unconscious
That means that both planets even asteroids contribute to the interpretation of the sign, the regents up to pluto are the best known, however there is more
